Chinese automaker BYD, through its Denza brand, has unveiled the Z9 GT, a new electric wagon boasting impressive performance and a unique design.
- The Z9 GT features a three-motor electric powertrain generating a staggering 710 kW (approximately 960 horsepower).
- This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 3 seconds.
- The design incorporates elements from Denza’s existing N7 SUV but with a sportier look.
- Unique features include a redesigned Denza badge, strategically positioned lidar units, and a controversial two-tiered rear wing with an electrically deployable spoiler.
- The Z9 GT measures over 5.1 meters long and has a wheelbase exceeding 3.1 meters, making it slightly larger than a Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo.
- Denza has yet to reveal the Z9 GT’s interior design or pricing, but estimates suggest a range of 50,000 to 70,000 RMB (approximately $7,300 to $10,200 USD).
The Z9 GT is expected to be a flagship model for Denza and is likely to compete with other high-performance electric vehicles. More details on the car’s interior and pricing will be available later this year.
