BYD‘s premium brand Denza is making a renewed push into the electric vehicle (EV) market with a significant price reduction and feature upgrades for its N7 SUV. This move comes after the N7, initially launched in July 2023 as a Tesla Model Y competitor, failed to gain significant traction.
Sharper Price, Enhanced Value
The updated N7 boasts a starting price of 33,000 USD a 20.54% decrease from its predecessor. This aggressive pricing strategy aims to make the N7 a more attractive alternative to the Model Y.
Spacious Interior, Impressive Range
The N7 retains its spacious 5-seat midsize SUV configuration, offering ample passenger and cargo room. It also features BYD’s advanced blade batteries, delivering a maximum CLTC range of up to 702 km (436 miles) on a single charge. Additionally, the N7 supports rapid charging speeds of up to 230 kW, allowing drivers to achieve a range of 350 km (217 miles) in just 15 minutes.
Diverse Powertrain Options and Advanced Driver Assistance
The N7 caters to various driving preferences with single motor and dual motor options, offering efficient performance and exhilarating acceleration. Advanced driver-assistance systems, including Denza’s Dilot 100 and Dilot 300, further enhance safety and convenience. Denza plans to expand its assisted driving features with City NOA functionality expected nationwide by year-end.
Targeted Marketing and Customer Incentives
Denza is driving N7 adoption with early adopter discounts and trade-in subsidies for existing N7 owners. These incentives aim to encourage consumers to switch to electric vehicles and experience the benefits firsthand.
