Honda’s Game-Changing Electric Scooters Are Finally Here – You Won’t Believe What They Offer!

October 3, 2024 – New Delhi, India:- Honda is gearing up to electrify the Indian scooter market with its first-ever electric models, set to make a grand debut early next year. The company has officially announced that pre-orders for the new Honda Activa E, part of the popular Activa family, will open on January 1, 2025. Deliveries are expected to begin in February.

The Activa E is powered by Honda’s innovative Mobile Power Pack e (HMPP), a swappable battery system already proven in markets like Japan, Europe, and Indonesia. Each Activa E scooter will house two HMPP units, providing a combined energy capacity of 1.5 kWh per pack. Riders can expect an impressive 102 km (63.3 miles) of range per charge, making it a strong contender for urban commuting.

To support this technology, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has set up Honda Power Pack Exchanger swap stations in Bengaluru and Delhi, with plans to expand to Mumbai soon. These stations aim to make battery swapping seamless and convenient for riders, reducing charging downtime significantly.

Alongside the Activa E, Honda will introduce the Honda QC1, a non-swappable electric scooter. Both models will come equipped with modern features like full LED lighting, ride modes, and advanced digital displays. The Activa E boasts a 7-inch TFT dashboard with optional Honda RoadSync Duo app connectivity, offering features like navigation, phone access, and music control. The QC1, on the other hand, features a 5-inch LCD display.
